ISSA Instructor Training in Marmaris Türkiye

From June 21 to 25, Marmaris will host an ISSA Sailing School Instructor Training Course.

This program is designed for experienced skippers who are ready to advance to the next professional level and obtain official certification to teach sailing within the ISSA system.

The course will be led by two highly experienced ISSA trainers with extensive international backgrounds in skipper and instructor education.

⛵ Course Format

  • 5 full days of training
  • Practical sessions in the waters around Marmaris
  • Accommodation and training aboard a Dufour 500 sailing yacht

Check-in & Check-out

Check-in: June 20 from 17:00
Participants may arrive the evening before the course starts, settle on board, meet the crew, and spend the night on the yacht.

Check-out: Evening of June 26 or morning of June 27, following the standard charter schedule.

What You Will Learn

During the course, participants will cover:

  • Yacht instructor teaching methodology
  • Structuring an effective learning process
  • Crew management and student psychology
  • Conducting theoretical and practical lessons
  • ISSA instructor training standards
  • Safety procedures and examination protocols
  • Teaching and conducting the VHF/SRC course

Certifications Available Upon Successful Completion

Participants will be eligible to obtain:

✅ ISSA Inshore Skipper Sail Instructor License

✅ Short Range Certificate (VHF) Instructor License

Participation Requirements

Applicants must hold:

  • A qualification equivalent to ISSA Offshore Skipper level or higher
  • A valid SRC/VHF Radio Operator Certificate

Skippers certified through other sailing organizations are also welcome to participate. Parallel certification within the ISSA system can be completed as part of the course.

Course Fees

Full Instructor Training Course: €1,500

Certificate fees are charged separately.

Instructor Assessment Option

For experienced and active sailing instructors, a one-day assessment is available and conducted alongside the first day of training.
