Two courageous women have shown that disability is no obstacle to adventure. Supported by the dedicated ISSA crew, Anita, Kasia, and Mariusz, they embarked on a seven-day sailing journey that covered over 230 kilometers through some of Poland’s most scenic waterways.

Their route included stops in Elbląg, Malbork, Sobieszewo, Żuławki, and Drewnica, navigating six locks and docking in five marinas, with countless breathtaking stops in wild, untouched nature along the way. Living aboard the boat for a week, they not only embraced the challenges of life at sea but also blazed a trail of inspiration for others with disabilities.

Among the crew was Katarzyna Geremek, a certified Sailing Caregiver for Persons with Disabilities, whose presence ensured both safety and support throughout the voyage.

At the journey’s end, they had only one question:
“Can we stay here longer?”

Their story is a powerful reminder that the spirit of sailing belongs to everyone.
