Offshore Power Yacht Skipper

The ISSA offshore Power Yahct Skipper course is an advanced certification course, designed for experienced skippers who wish to develop the skills and confidence to drive a powerboat on offshore passages. During the course, students learn both theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to skipper a power yacht up to 24 meters in length, within 120 nautical miles of the coastline, in even heavy weather conditions.

Upon successful completion of the course and assessment, participants are eligible to take the ISSA Master of Power Yacht course.

Course Requirments

Experience required prior training

28 days at sea as skipper or watch leader in at least 2 voyages, at least in 2 sea areas

Over 18 years old
