SIPD Training Lands in Spain

Since its launch in 2023, the SIPD (Sailing Instructor of Persons with Disabilities) training program by the International Sailing Schools Association (ISSA) has been enthusiastically embraced by ISSA schools and instructors around the world. This innovative program aims to equip sailing instructors with the necessary skills to teach and support persons with disabilities, promoting inclusivity within the sailing community.

At the end of June, the SIPD program made its debut in Spain (Marina Salinas, Torrevieja). Our ISSA school, Panarai Sailing, proudly conducted its first SIPD training session, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to make sailing accessible to all.

ISSA is committed to expanding the reach of the SIPD program and ensuring that sailing is an inclusive sport for everyone, regardless of their abilities. We look forward to seeing more schools and instructors join this important initiative and contribute to a more diverse and inclusive sailing community.
